Barbara Morcos, MA, LPC, NCC, ACS
Psychotherapist
I am Barbara Morcos, a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), National Certified Counselor (NCC), and Approved Clinical Supervisor (ACS). I hold degrees from Rutgers University and New Jersey City University, where I earned master’s degrees in Counseling as well as Administration & Supervision. Over the years, I’ve worn many hats—school counselor, central office administrator, adjunct professor, private practitioner, but the common thread has always been helping people grow, heal, and reach their potential.
I bring over a decade of counseling and supervisory experience to my practice, Saving Grace Counseling Services. Alongside my clinical work, I serve as an adjunct professor in the Counselor Education program at Kean University, where I train future therapists and stay current with the latest research and best practices. I’ve also had the honor of serving on the national CACREP Board of Directors, giving me a unique perspective on the standards that shape the counseling profession.
In therapy, I work with children, adolescents, adults, and families on issues including trauma, depression, anxiety, PTSD, OCD, adjustment challenges, and more. My approach is holistic and individualized: I may integrate play, art, or music therapy with adolescents; mindfulness and lifestyle adjustments for adults; and evidence-based techniques like CBT, DBT, and solution-focused therapy across all populations. I believe therapy is a powerful investment in yourself, and my goal is to help clients and families find peace, resilience, and connection.
